anyone have a cargraphic exhaust on their car? happy with sound? I am still on the hunt for an exhaust for my tiptronic coupe... and a fellow member suggested cargraphic ... I have a few other choices aswell... biggest concern is the drone that the tiptronic cars have... and of course I want an exotic sound but not too loud as this is a DD.

 

Tip = Europipe Quiet....it's an engineering work of art.

Go for the Remus...good sound,everyday use without any drone,best tailpipes...Good power gains as well...

I have cargraphic on the gt2, it sounds really good. Some drone at around 2k rpm but then again I have the export version which sounds " a bit" more..

 

Had TechArt on previous tt and it was great ... no drone or any issues after 4 years (sold car).

 

michael 996tt how did it sound? loud ? exotic sounding? before u bought what else did you compare it to?

No not that loud (my Aston is much louder but that is a completely different engine and set up) - I had modded turbos and some open breathing - car sounded like a harrier jet when you were full on and the boost was just sucking huge amounts of air/gas - and just plain hauling butt. The car was extremely fast. I also had a series 1 GT3 - now that was louder - for some reason the turbos just seem to be more "air" sounding that deep grumble. I bought both exhausts (and the mods) from German Tech here in FL (I see you are here too, they are west coast, St Pete area but certainly can ship)- if you are more interested send me a PM ... I can give you more detail

Just added an EP2 with a bunch of other stuff - a different car for sure. Just the exhaust alone adds HP- plenty of reports here if you don't believe the europipe site (FYI: I've never seen anyone quibble with their numbers)

boca, i noticed you're selling your speedtech exhaust. i thought everyone has been praising this exhaust for its power and lack of droning. are you not finding this to be the case for your tip?

 

grandpa... I am not sure.. but I think it works better with a 6 speed... I like the exhaust but I want something a little louder and for a tiptronic only.. not even sure if there will be a difference.... but I do like the speedtech.. its a great exhaust fit & finish etc... I have a friend of mine that is interested in my car when I sell it... and he actually wants the exhaust to be louder...
