gas prices
Most 996TT owners are not your "average households" in terms of income. If you look at the price you pay over the course of a year even with a gas increase, it's likely less than $1,000.00/yr extra over what you where paying for the car when you purchased it.
I'm more concerned about my daily than my weekend car (Filling X5 up at $100 a fill-up hurts much worse than the turbos smaller thank). The turbo I drive when I want and limited amounts, it's far from a daily driver so the gas I use is more for "Therapy", which even at $4-$5 a gallon it's much cheaper than a therapist.

Here's an interesting spin on MPG consumption where an M3 is pitted agaist a Prius . Guess who won? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq9ilgw1plc
I deliver my car to a Porsche workshop on Monday, expects that they will find out of it.
