Getting ready for tracks. suspensions and tires.
Hello.
I am now starting to go on tracks. 19th July we are going to Monza and I want my 911 to be ready!
I already have the ECU, Air intake, D-valves, Miltek exhaust with 100 cell cats, the front strut bar, racing break pads, hight temp liquid and break lines.
Now I want to change the suspensions and put cup tires.
I wanted to buy the pss10 but now i am thinking of buying the JIC Cross coilovers with the camber plates and H&R sway bars.
Does someone has already tried the JIC coilover?
For Tiers i am hesitating between Michelin super cup and Pirelli Pzero corsa?
any advice?
Thanks

JIC over PSS10 for sure. H&R sways are good.
Supercups over Pirellis as well. But if you are just starting, you dont need to be driving on a full slick. Try PS2's. R888's or sports cups max. You need more experience before driving on full slicks, though the TT will help you out, I would still try a lesser tire to start with.
My advice is to drive it like it is for a few more days, then move up.

Corsa's last longer than Cups, and works very good on the 996s. Cup will be faster if you are driving on the limit, but corsa gives you good feedback and are much stickier than PS2s, Pzero rosso etc etc...
oh nice. Are you going on the 19? See you there then. I will be there with the Geneva Porsche Club.
