Looking for Custom 996 Stereo Installs Pics

As the title states looking for some custom 996 stereo install pics. I am going to design a new stereo system and want to do do something different from last time.

Defintely going with different gauges, and probably fiberglass the new compact Rockford Fosgate Power amps in the trunk this time.

I was looking for some ideas on where to fiberglass the two 10" shallow drive Rockford Fosgate amps

This time I am going with a double din pioneer avic z3 instead of the old school flip up monitor.

Also keep the tv's down to a minimum this time. Only one on the rearview for backing up and the navigation 7" touch screen.

My previous system in my last 996 that I did in 2004.

Is that a video monitor I see in the back window? How much weight do you think your stereo adds to the car? Love the custom alcantera work... very very nice!

What I said in another thread about these cars not being the best for stereo/listening. I was perhaps premature....wow, what a powerful looking system. I bet that sounds super....

What do the gauges measure (curious what 8 things you are measuring), and where did you get the a column holder? Custom?

I think this is inline with this thread...does anyone know if Porsche makes a stereo that has Sirius in it? I would like to change my factory stereo out with a directreplacement but have the Satellite radio.

This is OT:

Who make the very BEST GPS system? Best maps, best interface?

Personally I like navtech, which means an Alpine Nav.... any thoughts?

I have the Alpine double din system with the blackbird removable nav unit in my other vehicle and it works pretty well. Unit has a few glitches every now and then with XM and Nav but overall works pretty well.

The eight gauges measured everything from oil temp, boost, oil pressure, fuel pressure, water temp, air fuel, etc.

I had the custom a pillar made.

That was my old system in my supercharged 996. I am looking for some other ideas to build a new system for my twin turbo 996 now that I am converting to 997 turbo body.

I have the BOSE in my 03 996tt and I am not impressed. It sounds decent just cruisin, but if your going along pretty good and have to really turn it up...YUK... I am looking to put Sirius in my car. I would like to keep the "stock" look as far as stereo but have the satellite. Any ideas?

Photos of my set-up

I did this custom build and installation myself. AVIC Z2- Navigation, cd changer, IPOD, Bluetooth, XM-JL audio SUB with alpine amp, replaced all speakers with JL Audio, three way in the front, two way in the back active Xovers using JL amp. Here are some photos. Love the Z2.
