Well, after a considerable wait, the Techart GTS kit finally arrived. And boy is it a work of art. Its entirely made of carbon fibre and the kit is really well thought out.

Brake cooling etc is all there but what really catches the eye is the matt finish of the carbon fibre. Its just exquisite! But that front lip catches everything and I really have no idea how I am going to clear half of the car parks!

The rear bumper in my opinion really sets the car apart and cleans up the rear end. And I just love the carbon fibre diffuser at the rear as well as the rear intercooler vents. Can you tell I am in love with the way the car now looks ;P

Now I am just awaiting the completion of the PE700 kit from Todd and then I will get that bolted on in replacement of my IA 750 kit. I can hardly wait!!!

Thanks guys, I am really pleased with the results. The overall profile of the car is just aggressive enough and with the more rounded edges as compared with the previous GT2 kit really compliments the curves of the 996 in my opinion.

 

Harold, I noticed in your reply that your 996TT is a Tiptronic. Have you done any mods to the transmission to hold the 750 kit and the addtional bhp and torque? I was told not to go over 525 bhp with the Tiptronic. I would be interested in your experience. It is hard to know which tuner to believe these days. Thanks.

 

Mate, the car currently only runs an external cooler for the tip box. I have not had any problems with the gear box and this includes a large number of track days, but am considering updating the torque converter to the EVOMS torque converter. I have been assured by Todd (Protomotive) that there is no need to do anything at this level of power though.

 

Looks fantastic, but your bumpers are not CF, they are fiberglass.

Actually trying to prevent you looking like an idiot. The car looks great regardless, that TechArt set-up is the best out there, of course I am biased.
