I'm curious as to how tough they are to beat at highway speeds.

A slightly modded (at least then) beat one that we know of around here (mentioning no names)... Check out racingflix.com. They're not as fast as you think.

 

I have toasted Diablo's and Muracilago's. I have the video to prove it as well. Many times!!!!!!

 

I have not personally but I know Bob in town ran against a stock Murcielago and killed him. He has Unichip and fabspeed exhuast.

I spanked a VTT Roadster when i was in New Jersey a few months ago...it was an awesome experience!!!!!!!

 

My friend has the Diablo but with the 6.2 L race motor, cat by-pass & race exhaust complete from the Lamborghini factory. The car is fast but he says his '01 996TT walks away from it... btw, that car is WIDE.

However, you want to talk about attention getter... it looks and SOUNDS incredible especially with the cat by-pass and race exhaust.

I have to say even a stock exhaust Diablo sounds awesome. It sounds mad as hell!

Would be very interested in seeing any videos of bone stock 996TT or 996TTX50 vs exotics also.

Be careful what Diablo you pull up against. There is one in San Rafael, Calif. that is running a 300 shot N20 system. Owned by a guy named Alex. Most modded 996tt's would be leaving as surprised as all heck with their tail between there legs.

 

LOL let's just saw that car never seems to run right or to its potential I know who you are talking about... He's lost to BPU Supras and a friend of mine with a C5 and blower... I think, no would put money on you being able to out run him. Best he's ever run was 12.2 or something...

Did he have the three 100 shot N2O bottle systems onboard when he ran the 12.2? I believe they have been installed in the last four to six weeks.

 

No back then he had a two stage kit installed... He's well known in these parts and actually a friend of a friend He just bought an EVO VIII for "freeway runs". That guy rarely makes any sense
