Got the Under-Car SSK In Tonight

Thanks to 'ebaker' sending me some great instructions, I was able to install the B&M under-car SSK tonight in about 45 minutes (including the test drive). Would probably take about 30 minutes next time. I did it on ramps.

I installed it using the middle hole. What are other people using? It feels like a good combination of shorter throw but not an excessive amount of force needed to engage the gear. It feels much better than the in-car version. A great mod.

I tried the 30% reduction first, but after a week I moved to the middle hole, 20% reduction. 30% just had too high of a lever efforts for my taste. I guess that's why there are 3 choices. Best of all, you can easily retrun it to stock if and when you want.

Cheers,

Mine is set at 30% reduction, and I measured the 3rd to 4th gear shift throw--it went from 5" to 3.5". The shifting effort is increased slightly, but it's a welcome tightness (eliminating the sloppy feel of stock), and in no way does it feel to hard to shift, or notchy.

I got mine at Brandywine.
