Headroom

Any idea of how much more headroom is available if the 996 Turbo OEM electric seats are replaced with 996 GT3 seats?

Dock,

I am 6-1 and with the proper sliders (like I have), I have much more headroom
with my GT3 seats. I wish I could tell you more.

Dock,
Check with "manalex" here on 6speed

He is, uh, taller than me and has his GT3 seat lower than I've ever seen.
I believe Neil did a special bracket or mount for him to get additional headroom
It is very low

manalex is infamous around these parts
Just left my car at Orton today. Getting it ready for the PCA event at RATL this weekend. If you like, you can go by there and check it out.

Basically, the drivers side seat allows me to sit about 3-4 inches lower than the typical sport seat. I needed all the room I could get becuase I wear helmets during the events and I'm 6'5". The seat is not adjustable which doesn't bother me as I'm the only driver. My seats are as low as you can get. It sounds like you will not need such an extreme installation-go by Neil's shop and have look, I'm sure he will be able to help you out.

Hey Dock:
I used the Brey Krause bracket with my GT3 seats that lowered the seat an additional 1" or so from the stock GT3 bracket.

I'll be at RA this weekend also if you want to try it out. My passenger seat has the original bracket so you could measure both.
