BMW really F'ed up when they stopped doing basic body mods to the M cars. The M version of the Z3 and M3 came with wider fenders, etc...
now they look like every other Z4 or 3 series. The sales numbers reflect the weak look of the cars. In the end, the entire package has to be more exciting if you want to sell in larger volumes. What a shame.

you guys kidding? The current crop of M cars is probably the best ever and definitely the fastest. I also think they are the best looking. From 2000 on the M3's have been incredible. So are the M5's.

Iam not going to disagree with you on the looks of the new M3 of course they are going to look amazing. But if you do your research will find out that the better handling M3s still are the E36s.
