Want to install ITouch to stock Bose system!!

I just purchased a 32gig ITouch and was wondering if anyone has installed it to the stock Bose system. Is there an adaptor that we could use to conect it to the stock Bose system. Thanks.

Yes. Call Eric @ Bumperplugs and ask for the Dension Gateway system.

You do have to have an 03' or newer vehicle for the dension product to work though

I'd also heard that you need dealer programming of the car if you don't have the multi CD changer too.

Does anyone know for sure ?

You will need to use a PST2 or PIWIS to have the system recognize the Gateway.

Yeah. I just installed a Dension on a 997 for a friend of mine and you need the dealer to code it if you don't have a CD changer. It was my first time working with fiber optics and that stuff is way cool. Good luck.

You do not need a radio code...it is stored in the DME. You will need to have the dealer program the DME to "see" the Gateway.

Will I be able to have the dealer read my radio code through my DME, if I had my DME flashed?

You only need a radio code if you have a different head unit or if you replaced the DME. Flashing the ECU has no effect on the radio and you won't need a radio code. Just need to have them activate the Gateway in the ring.

I didn't want to get any grief from the dealer about the gateway, so I went in and asked them to simply turn on the CD changer mode in the PCM. It took them all of 5 minutes. On the way home with the car, I was getting error messages that the CD changer was missing....cool. Next, I parked the car and installed the Gateway and have been happy every since.

I have an 02 and lower dension cable. Works great.

They are very hard to find as it's a discontinued model. Total plug and play with radio controls, including choosing playlist. No on screen display though.
