that carbon fiber *** is sooooo damn hot

also the exhaust opens up like its coming FROM the car rather than from under the car. thats sooo sweet.

i think that shifter position is pretty good, very rally like. ive never sat in one so i cant tell if it would be comfortable, but i dont think porsche would make something non comforting for the driver, and something hard to reach---esp at 190mph +

It's placed there so that it is closer to the steering wheel, thus you can keep both hands on the wheel longer. With that car you should probaly be driveing with both hands on the wheel and thats why the shifter is placed there.

That is absolutely correct. The steering is also VERY sensitive or tight. After putting 175 miles on my GT, I really like the shifter there. It is VERY quick to go from shifter to steering wheel and back. I wish it was that way on my Turbo now.
