I'm not rehashing the old dyno threads that we are all tired of. I just want to know who is running the plenum and if they noticed an improvement.

I hope eveyone is well.

It's only been a few hours. With so many of these threads, i'm sure many would rather avoid the drama then enter this post....

Mark,

Since I will soon be running GT30's I am wondering if it would be worth getting a bigger plenum and TB.

dlm477 is infamous around these parts
I have a custom made plenum and you can hear it under WOT. Only 520hp so non noticeable performance improvement but does make a cool sound.

At Speed gallery I have sold bucket loads of plenums and my customers have always been happy. In the beginning Some even did before after dyno's (TDK was one) and showed good gains. It does work better the more power you push...but that goes for exhaust and other parts too.

On my personal cars I have loved the plenum. Mike even made one for my 993TT as a prototype. On 996TT's it also gives you the ability to go 75mm t-body for big hp like Markski pointed out. My wife has one in her 996 and she felt the K&N/plenum combo when I installed it.

After the basic ecu/exhaust, maybe turbo's I see it next as bang for the buck.

Turbo Mike installed mine two weeks ago. The car seems more crisp with a better throtle response. Dyno results coming soon. I will try to do AWD dyno this time. Thanks to Turbo Mike for fast installation.
