Question for the Accumulator Gurus out there...

Hi.

I did the slave and accumulator in May.

Now, standard sandy clutch at 65% to floor. No issues (yet)....if I have the engine off and pump the clutch, at 15 pumps it gets stiff.

1. What is the normal number of pumps to do on a perfect system, one without any issues, before the clutch gets stiff? Never saw this data anywhere...guys, please go out and post this (I'll add a poll with numbers so we can all learn something...).

2. Since I just did the slave, is it possible "just the accumulator" is bad. I ordered an accumulator already and it is a lot easier to install.....? Thoughts....

3. If it happens again, the plan is go to the gt2 slave conversion kit for big bucks....

Thanks in advance.

JB, how many miles are on your car? Sunset is having a sale on the accumulater and slave and I'm wondering if I should purchase them for when the time comes. What percentage of cars have this problem?

Jeff, I'd re-bleed it... Bet you have some air still in the unit.

Larry:
34k. Couldn't hurt. T2 with 190k or so put in I think 5 slaves. I'd ask him....he may have the record in miles and slave replacements....

Mike:
Thanks. Will try the bleed first.

I think I need to stock on on Pentosin. I wonder what the shelf life is (unopened)....

:-)
