GT-R owner finds out just how fragile the 'box is...

Accelerate out the corner...BANG....oh.
Another week, another GT-R story circlates. One owner in the US has been using his GT-R to its full potential by using the launch control on several occasions and by doing so, he managed to blow up his transmission.
He returned to his dealer with the car to get it fixed, and after a few days he was given the news that his box was dead'. Worse news, however, was to come.
Because you have to deactivate the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) to use the launch control function, Nissan politely reminded him that he signed a paper saying that: Turning off the VDC too often damages the car and therefore invalidates the warranty. Dont do it.
Oh, and the fresh set of cogs will cost him $20,000.
The news prompted him to alert fellow GT-R owners and plead for help. Hes not the only one, though another three are in this situation.
