!*! What is wrong with this picture guys!*!
I don't know why everybody seems to think 39K mi is high on these cars, When I traded my 2003 996TT X50 for my current car it had about 67K mi on the clock and I was still able to get $58K for it at the dealership. The 2005's are already 4 year old cars and 10K mi a year is actually on the low end for cars in general.

For MY05 both models were in production, 996TT and 996TTS. Also both models were offered as Coupes or Cabs. Anyone correct me if I am wrong!
Sad but true , The rest is just personal preferences : Park both cars together , one Tip and the other 6 Speed , one with 60k miles and the other with 6k , one smells like new the other one not , one costs 90k+ the other one 60k+ , one left the owner with 30k in their pocket the other one not and still will loose those 30K no matter if the smell like new is still there in a short period of time. For the 99% of the people both cars are the SAME
Sport Cars are not an investment but the pleasure of having one sometimes is well worth the expense.

Is there any difference in value between the 6speeds and tiptronics. I just cant imagine the demand for tiptronics is nearly as high. No offense to you tip guys but i love that third petal
I'd buy it...those aren't a lot of miles, and that price is a steal....the color combo appeals to a rather small cadre of folks, but it's not intolerable. The tip would be great for an area like San Francisco or L.A. with all the traffic. I bought a Porsche from Paul and he was great to deal with. I had a few problems minor upon arrival and he took care of all of them.

I agree 39k is low in my book and that price is great.
the 996tt is exclusive no matter who owns or what was paid for it. These cars have a population build of around 10k +/- as a limit (2001-2005). These numbers can only go down with time. So if a 16 year old has the desire and funding for one, they are just taking from the remaining population. These are great cars!
A tip appeals to alot less people than a 6speed thus eliminating many potential customers (like myself). I don't care if it was $25K, I would not buy an automatic sports car. The only thing I would buy in an auto is a luxury sedan or an SUV. Because it eliminates alot of customers the price goes down.
Both available, but do not know if it was a production date difference. Mine was Mar 2005.
From the other side....
Just purchased an 02' Grey/Grey-black, 40k miles, 6 sp coupe for $42K. A low-ball offer on ebay that ended up winning bid. I was looking at local, similar cars with known history, 20,xxxk miles, but were $10-$15k more. I'm very happy with my buy, and have spent less than $6k on wheels, exhaust, pss9 & unichip. Due to personal circumstance, needed to have point of entry cost below $48K (what I sold my $74K 07' Audi RS4 for). Market conditions are market conditions. Down markets always create opportunity. Just the way it is.....
Quit your ***** en, Come on, look at the economy, With everyone running out and buying all the 966tt, it must bring the price down.(right)
I mean you can get a 01 in the low 40 with those miles and add mods you have alot more car for the money.
People are not runnning out, buying their dream cars right now. They can't even afford their homes. 6speed is the exception. We are a very small % of the market. There are plenty of people that want to buy this car and have no clue. But i am sure the market will comeback to normal ( what ever that is) and the price of these will stay if you have a clean and low mileage. But if some of you bought your tt as an investment then right now your going down like everything else. Maybe in a few years it will come up , untill then enjoy your life and stop worries about values of cars unless your in the car business.
