01 996tt - pricing please help

Finally found a nice local 996TT. Here are the specifications:

Here are the specs:
2001 PORSCHE 911 TURBO Coupe SILVER w/ GRAY int. 6 CYLINDER 18,750mi. 6 SPD. ARCTIC SILVER, GRAY INTERIOR, 3-SPOKE STEERING WHEEL, HEATED SEATS, PSM, HI-FI SOUND, STAINLESS STEEL DOOR SILLS, PAINTED CENTER CONSOLE, K40 RADAR, ALCANTARA HEADLINER, ONLY 18K MILES. $49,995

I saw the car in person , its very clean and drives well. No 2nd gear pop out issues as far as i can tell. also has the EVOMS intake.

what is a fair price for this car ? They are asking 49k. Its one owner driven and been local all throughout.

Btw...i am getting Markski's help in getting the car checked out.

Also what extended warranty companies do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Just know the gray interior always has less of a re-sale value and usually much harder to sell.

I would say offer $45-46k. Times are tough and people need to sell their toys.

Thanks for the feedback. I usually prefer black...but this car was not too bad. I liked the alcantra headliner. The car itself was cosmetically great.

Thanks for your feedback. I am so tempted not to buy seeing the economy and stuff...but did not want to pass up a good one like this...

If it's a nice car with no major issues, it's not a bad price. Maybe not the "deal of the century" but in my opinion better than buying a rough one for say $42K.

Sounds like a pretty good deal w/ a little negotiation. The market is crazy up today anyways

Most Southern California Porsche Dealers sell Fidelity Warranties.

911 turbo with only 18k, one owner for $49k. Hmmm.... offer him $15k. Times are tough.

just bought virtually the same car in Chicago for 54k without the radar detector and 20k miles, I thought that was a decent deal if you look hard enough you can find even 2003's in the Chicago area for that price but most will have over 50k miles. I was willing to pay what I did for a cherry low mileage car
