Time to clear up the BS regarding GIAC Stage 4 GT.

As most of us know their has a great deal of finger pointing and bashing some of the tuners on this board. Some members are stating that they are not getting the numbers that are being claimed or that thier car is not running correctly. Well for the past couple of weeks this topic has become very heated and it seemed that a "Hand Grenade" was about to get the pin pulled.

I admit I was not very happy when I dynoed my car 10 days ago. The number was 460 RWHP (way below what it should be). The car was dynoed at Champion Motorsports (Thank You Bobby Varela for facilitating the Dyno and all your Support). That day while at Champion, I was on the phone with Todd (EVO) and Steve (Imagine Auto) expressing my disgust with the "Stage 4GT kit". We just couldn't figure what was wrong other than blame the "GT kit".

Steve and Todd immediatley scheduled a flight down to Florida, they both arrived in Ft Lauderdale last Thursday, thier mission was to figure out what the hell is going on with all these cars once and for all.

I finally met Steve and Todd friday morning, they jumped in my car and took it for a spin. they came back and told me that I had a major boost leak. My car was leaking worse than the "TITANIC", they proceeded to "Smoke" the system and found all the leaks.

1. Diverter Valves
2. Plenum

They redynoed the car and it dynoed 530rwhp(70HP improvement just with the reapirs of the leaks), and with a little readujstment here and their my car finally Dynoed at 553rwhp and 571 ft/lbs of torque.

Xico has the the GT700 kit and his car had the same boost leaks and a cracked intake plenum. His car is in the process of having the plenum repaired.

SO MUCH FOR THE THEORY THAT THE KIT DOES NOT PRODUCE POWER!

So the moral of the story, the kit is working as advertised! Special Thanks goes out to Steve and Todd, they took time out of their very busy schedules to resolve our car's.

They are coming thru for me too, in a different way. Orli, I'm a bit confused. Who ever introduced a theory that the kit didn't produce power? I know of a certain flat spot that occured between certain RPM ranges, and that w/that much HP, rods need to be addresssed. Who and where did you see that it didn't post enough power?

I am directing that "COMMENT" at a certain individual that is always claiming that this "kit" does not produce power and it sucks. You know who you are.

That's cool they came out to ya and got it resolved. Todd has come out here before and I know Stephen personally. Great, great guys and they stand behind their stuff.

It's great that you're happy Orli, sometimes there are some small issues that aren't related to the kit directly but more as a result of pushing so much HP and with so many other parts there''s always a change of being a leak somewhere sometime

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

I want to extend my appreciation to both Todd and Steve for your time and your proven knowledge in the products that you represent. You deserve success in your respective bussiness because you really have proven the meaning of total customer satisfaction, not with words, but with your actions. It was both admirable and at the same time unbelievable that you both took time out of your busy schedule to come to Florida to prove a point , and you did, that you believe in the products that you sell and that you know what you are doing , unlike many so called tunners who just bull**** in a smoke cloud, hoping to cover their lack of knowledge.
Todd , it was a pleassure meeting you in person , and Steve I am sorry we didn't meet in person , i made it back after you had left, (by the way if my car felt strange on the way to the airport it was because it had 42lbs of air pressure on one rear tire and 20lbs on the other) the guys damaged the seal when they mounted the new rear tires : I already know you by your actions, you are honest and you know what you are doing.
I also like to extend a special thanks to Bobby Barela and all the guys at Champion Motorsports for your continuous and relentless support for Orly and myself.
My car has a GT700 package which is supposed to produce 610+RWHP and 600+LBS of torque. When Todd and Steve inspected my car it had 540RWHP and about 550LBS of torque, in other words short by 60HP and 50LBS of torque, but they discovered that i had four leak points on my plennum which was something overseen by others who had worked on my car before. My car is being worked on at Champion Motorsports and they are doing a fantastic job,(i will have it back by Thursday), it is always a pleassure to deal with Bobby and the guys at Champion Motorsports and now that they are representing Evo products for the South Florida market it will be a pleassure to recomend them to my friends and aquaintances as reliable, trust worthy and honest tunners.
Thank you once again Todd , Steve and Bobby for your support , and please do not hessitate to count on me for anything i can do to help in your success. You all deserve it . Thanks!!!!!!

Where was the plenum leaking? Also, to do the "smoke test" do you pressurize the intake with compressed air or look for vacuum leaks at idle?

Champion Motorsports has a machine that seals smoke under pressure to detect leaks on the system and in Orly's car it made a 70RWHP difference, I will post my gains next week after my final dyno runs since the damage to my intake, damaged the impelers on my turbos which have to be replaced. The engine was removed from my car, i have the carbon fiber plenum and intake and i can tell you that unless you use silicone and racers tape on all the joints , above and beyond the clamps, you will have leaks and lose substantial power.

You guys are more than welcome. Xico I too regret I didn't get to meet you. I did get to drive your car though Even though I thought I might not live to make it to the airport We don't look at it as customer service really. Just something that either one of us would expect if we were back there. We have both been on the floor relying on others. It was nice to be able to identify and correct what we could when we were there.

On the intake. I actually epoxy mine together. I feel like the silicone will not hold in time. Maybe I am wrong. The major leak was at the joining point of the MAF section and the back section where they meet. The system wouldn't even hold a pound of pressure. You use nitrogen to vent the system and it will smoke when it finds a whole.

Everyone was a big help and I appreciate Champion allowing two knuckleheads from no where come in and use their tools and treat us like one of their own. It was a great environment to trouble shoot in. Too bad we couldn't have fixed it sooner, I would have been fishing in the keys!

Steve, next time you find time , come down to Florida and Orly and myself will take you fishing in the keys. Thanks for all your help. I will tell Bobby about the epoxy , it makes sense to me to that it will hold better and longer.
