SharkWerks/EVOMS - Upgrading GT640 to GT660

I've been very happy with the entire SharkWerks crew (Alex, James and Dan) and I can't forget Todd at EVOMS - they've all taken superb care of me and my Turbo.

My stock TT was fun until I read over and over on 6Speed about the improvements that can be made with new programs, tweeks and hardware. Many of you here on 6Speed are to blame for my lightened wallet and my faster car...

Well, it wasn't too long before I was in to see Alex and James with questions about what they could do for me. Shortly thereafter I left with an EVO flash, DVs, a different exhaust and a new suspension.

Fast forward a few more months and I ended up with the EVO GT640 kit, an EVO Stage III clutch and the GT2 hydraulic conversion - I was flying high with new-found power...

So like a crack addict, here I am looking for another fix and I didn't have to look further as SharkWerks and EVOMS were right there to provide my next buz.

In a couple weeks, I'm taking the plunge with additional performance mods and safety features (better fueling) with the GT660 upgrade.

I can't say enough about how professional, knowledgeable and helpful Alex and his crew are. I've also got to thank Todd at EVOMS for his assistance in making this happen. All these guys care about your experience with their company and products.

I'm a very satisfied customer of SharkWerks and EVOMS and they have earned my return business for a long time.

It's not just a matter of peak HP numbers - The GT660 has a much smoother power curve. The added benefit of the Hitachi MAF in the GT660 helps with the smooth power delivery as well as overall improved drivability.

Regarding the power aspect, there is more than just 20 more HP as the two upgrade names indicate. The power of the GT660 develops power and torque sooner than the GT640 based on the way that Todd has calibrated the ECU. Additionally, with the increased flow fuel injectors, this upgrade develops the added power safer and the GT660 is a building block for the higher output GT700.

Well said. Congrats on the new upgrade Rich!

BTW, I'm going to grab some before and after P-Box numbers to quantify this upgrade.

The GT640 was a kit developed in 03 with different software, stock fuel system and intake. This 660 kit, some 4.5 years on, sports the new EVOMSit tuning, with a Hitachi MAF, intake and the fuel rails/injectors that really open up the door for some fun... You're very limited by the stock injectors and a 5bar. The curve is so very different

Hey Rich, thanks so much for the kind words and sorry about the crack-problem and wallet thing I was an addict 5-6 years ago and haven't been able to get cured myself....

We'll be seeing you shortly

With a more agressive tune and race fuel, couldn't this setup be a 700? Are you using the "old" or "new" 28's?

Rich try and get those p-box numbers that would be cool. It will really show the benefits beyond the 20hp.

I heard Alex has a HP special crack-head re-hab program/club. He is not only the owner...he is a member too.
