100 cel vs 200 cel cats
100 cel vs 200 cel cats
Ok, I have ended up with two sets of cats. One set is the fabspeed 200 cel cats. The other set are the German made 100 cel cats that fabspeed had on their gen 1 exhaust. I am currently running the 200's. I am keeping one set not both, so I am wondering if it is worth it to switch out the 200's for the 100's. These 100's have fill that looks almost new, and I am sure they flow more, but I am at the limit of noise. Has anyone done this...opinions?
more flow is always better and I do not believe (educated guess) that the
difference in noise between one type of cat and another will make much difference.
Go with the 100's (or preferrably no cats)
Good luck!

If I punch out the fill in the cats does it cause a cel light to go off?
More than likely, yes you will get a CEL if there is no "catalyst" material, or a bypass of material.
Have you seen a lot of cel issues with 100 cel cats?
Very few. Have seen a few issues with some of Fabspeed's earlier 100 cell cats, and there is a loud 997S in the area that has what is believed to be a PSI exhaust, with CEL from lack of efficient cats.
i ran 100 cell cats with no cel... i would punch them out (the performance gain is huge!)and have your programer shut off the down stream 02 sensors

at your power level I can see that being the case, but I am quite a bit under your power level. I already have a straight through exhaust. Too bad there is no hp comparison between cats. Maybe there, but I have not seen it.
tru... i would use the less restrictive cats.. who's tune are u using?
