I wasn't planning on doing another 60-130 event until TX2K9, buttttttt, I received many requests as the air is cooler at this time of year and people want to run another event. So, the details are as follows:

When: Saturday December 13, 2008

Where: Lonestar Motorsports Park (Sealy, TX)

Time: Gates open at 10:30 am and track is hot from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (we will run until 3:00 pm if we have more than 15 cars signed up to run)

Cost: spectators are $15 and racers are $50 (same as always)

Caravan Info: meet at the Conoco gas station at I-10 and Eldridge (off Eldridge just north of I-10) at 9:30 am. We will leave promptly at 10:00 am to Lonestar.

I often mesure 62-124 (100-200km/h): my best is a bit less 6' with charging before and 6.7' opening throttle at 62.
I will try 60-130 to compare with you, but tell me: do you open gas when starting from 60 or open before to charge (around 50) and start chrono on 60?

What set up do you have? As a general rule for cars w/ normal gearing and medium sized turbos you want to get into 3rd nice and easy and punch it hard at 45.

You want to be in full boost by 60, not punch it at 60. For the really big dogs like Mark and Scotts old car (W/ full motor builds higher revving cams in Marks case and huge GT 35 turbos) they would go from second).

For the rest of us mortals go from a 45 punch in 3rd.

I just got off the phone w/ VR Alexander. He plans on being in town for the event and I will bring him along. Unfortunately his 996TT won't be in town.

 

Ok boys. Some of you may know that I recently upgraded. See sig. Well, she's going back in for some more mods. We're doing PSS10's and all the bars to lower to GT2 specs. Also I'm going with a 700HP kit with K24/18's and injectors. If she's done. I'll be there.

If I run from 3rd at 62 and suddenly punch the gas and the chrono, I hit the 124 in somethig like 6.7'. (need the 4th of course)
If I punch the gas at 45/50 in third I can do 5.9! and the same chrono starting in 4th, cause no changing of gear I think...
In France I beat Murcielago LP640, Z06,etc...
I do not know others tuned Porsche here, my fastest friend has got an Enzo, he beats me after my end 6!
So, my car is in Switzerland now, I will take it back soon and try 60-130!
