Looks alright, wish they had kept the center exhaust out back instead of sidepipes like the convertible.

In typical dumb american car builder fashion it not only has a keyhole to open the hatch, but the placement is such that if you live in Europe, the plate would get in the way rendering it useless. I don't understand how they miss these extremely simple things.
, so true, they basically get rid of the door handles but leave a key hole for the trunk? WTF!!!

They atleast should of followed the tricks of the new vette

With the electric door poppers, there is no easy way around the key hole. When the battery dies that key hole does no look so stupid. I have had this happen to me several times. Hey, for a car that performs like this for a "buy" price in the high 70's.

I am not sure why anyone is bashing the American product. It takes no less than $140,000 to buy a european car that can't even perform like a Viper. Sure makes that european purchase look foolish if performance is what you are after.

So they expect you to climb through the trunk and open your door every time the battery dies? Oh wait, you can't even do that without a screwdriver to take off the license plate

I don't think anyone is bashing this car. Just a little things they'd change, but every car is like that.

And I hear you on the door poppers, I can't tell you how many times my battery has died in my sub and i've been stranded. Now I have 3 huge deep cycle batteries in there

I'v always loved the Viper

Its' 0-100-0 stats are impressive, to say the least.

So, when coming out of a Diablo and shopping for my next supercar, I consulted a new friend (Mario Andretti, who is a spokesperson for the company for which I work).

Mario has had the opportunity to drive many top supercars and he advised me that the Viper, as far as handling goes, was very tricky to master and somewhat unpredictable.

That alone was enough to scare me off and I wound up with my 996TT and I'm very happy even more so after I've heard the nightmare stories of some key Viper tuners (and how they treat customers).

However, I read Viper forums often and their performance capabilities, especially when modified, are insane.

I suppose one is in my future, but not before I own a Ferrari and not before I get my hands on an SL55 or perhaps, dare to dream, an SL65, both of which I'd rather own than any American super car rival.

I think they purposely made the back ugly to **** off Porsche owners, as its the only view they'll get.

Im personally not a fan of the style, but some of you are rediculous. Credit where credit is due, it will do everything better than a 996TT, handle, brake, accelrate, if attention is important it wins there also, for alot less than the Porsche.

fear this car, and that goes for Ferrari and Lambo owners.

Allan may be right...

...about the Vipers Performance.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Viper doesn't excite me, but it doesn't offend me, either.

However, I'd be interested to examine depreciating values and rates of many top exotics, including Lambos....that would be a fun (albeit painful) comparo.

Or alternatively, dollars needed to spend to achieve certain hp numbers on these same cars. Could be more fun
