I bought a TA style rear spoiler and installed it tonight.

Here are the tools you need:

14mm Hex Socket





Special spoiler removal tool (came with the TA spoiler when I bought it)



It's pretty simple and sorry for the really bad pics (just had my BB Curve and didn't have my camera).

Insert this special tool into a small hole in the cylinder of the spoiler piston (for lack of better word). I believe you turn clockwise (see VERY bad video I took) but try both ways to make sure. Once you turn it a little, it will pop right out.

This is what the top of the piston shaft looks like and you can see the grooves how the spoiler catches on.



Once the spoiler comes off, you will need to remove the "adaptor" off the oem spoiler.



Note the little metal bar that cuts through the middle of the hole, which is where you need to align it with the top of the shaft as you can see in this pic



Use the 14mm hex nut and remove it. Mine was pretty tight on there so be careful.

This is what it looks like removed.



That's it...go in reverse order and you're done.

It wasn't on the stock wing... I just took the video as I was taking off the TA wing.

Hey Edwin...where can you buy those spacers? I assume they are there so that the aftermarket wing does not contact the spoiler base when the blade is in the down position, right? Hard to install?

Anyone know where one can buy the spoiler tool?

I did mine without a spoiler tool. I from a recommendation here used a rubber belt style oil filter wrench. It literally took 30 seconds for each side once I figured which way to turn it.

I CAREFULLY wrapped my channel lock pliers and easily twisted the shaft clockwise and the spoiler disconnected. See image below.

Anyone refilled a cylinder? I removed mine and turned it upside down but only a few drops went in, not even 1ml (they call for 5). The piston is retracted as the manual states. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Draft beer faucet wrench works. Super cheap too ~$4.

So basically I just grab each side turn them till the spoiler pops off and then I put the new spoiler on and screw it bck in ? Thats it?
