I'm doing a turbo look rear bumper on my NA. I've been looking around and haven't been able to find any solid pics. Are they supposed to be black or are they the same color as the body? I saw a pic of a yellow one with black slats. Looked pretty good, but did not look stock for some reason.

The outer slats are body color, the inner grills are black and lower portions are black as well, thats stock.

 

anyone got a good pic of this. i'd like to try and mimic this as close as possible. thanks.

 

Andrew, see if you can find a recent pic of AMG ETR's rear bumper... stock bumper with a couple of the lowers slats cut out to look like the Gemballa rear bumper... Awesome look IMHO...

That's pretty cool. How do you smooth out the edge after cutting?

 

AFAIK, the body shop did all that... I'm sure Evan can answer any questions...
