Chris,

Good to hear from you. Hope you had a happy new year! Did you ever get the new turbos installed?

Yeah, I've had that mini for about half a year now I have another black on in the garage that needs some restoration work. Too many projects going on

Looks very cool.

Sorry if you have already addressed this, but do you know the correct bulb size for changing the sidemarker light to a LED? Thanks.

The sidemarker light on the bumper is a wedge bulb

If you look on this page (http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html), don't get the two right most ones for the sidemarker light

Although they are super bright (I have them on my lexus), they can be too long and not fit in your sidemarker housing. The smaller one might fit but I know for sure the long ones don't

Those are the ones I'm planning on using for the parking lights. The 1st ones (left most) I currently have in the sidemarkers (996 c4) and they are VERY nice.

The parking light? I didn't know they made it that small. Do you have a link?

you might want to wait and see what other bulbs you may want to change out (interior lights, rear license plates, parking light, etc). Just something to think about to save on shipping

I put the wedge LED's in mine tonight and there nothing but dim...no amber looks good in clear side markers but there still dim. I may get different ones as these aren't great.

I also tried to put the rear turn signal LED bulbs in and the rear turn signals wouldn't even work on that side.

I already installed the front turn signal LED bulbs which work fien but flash ultra fast.

Rear license plate lights are great.

OP,

I have been posting in your thread on Rennlist. I got my parking lights from 42draftdesigns.com, which so far as I can tell is somewhat of a ricer VW site. However, they are the only place in the us that actually has the correct H6W bulb with the bumps properly placed on the bulb instead of the usual 12 and 6. In some thread on leds either here or on RL someone with some knowledge of electricity posted that grinding off the contact point on bulbs such as these could cause something to melt by causing it to get too hot. Perhaps someone smarter than me can chime in on this subject.

Dont bother changing the 6-12 dots, they work fine just a little muscle needed. Anyone have a link to adjust the headlights on one side up or down a little?

There are 2 oval shaped "hinged" grommets on the body behind the carpet in the trunk for each headlamp. Pull them back to expose the 5mm adjustment screw. I believe the upper screw adjusts the horizontal level.
