SPi, JIC Ti or BBi exhaust?
SPi, JIC Ti or BBi exhaust?
Thinking of swapping my 70mm Speedtech for something a little bit louder
but not ear splitting and the ability to change between cats and test pipe.
Looking for the system with the best sound (no buzz) and little drone.
I have received some nice prices on the SPi and the JIC Ti but have not
heard back from BBI. I have listened to as many sound clips as I can find
but user input would be nice.

JIC is lean and mean
80mm and 15lbs. But you will be buzzing. Inside footage here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIpqG...layer_embedded

I'd vote for BBi from personal experience. The setup in those videos is cat-less.
I've had cargraphic, milltek, europipe, and bbi.
The BBi design is modular, making it easy to switch from cats to straight.
As far as performance it made ~30 peak whp more than my milltek, and it also brought spool up ~300 rpm. Dynos were run back to back, and both systems are catless.

Good looking and a nice sound clip, right now it's about 30% more than
the other two.

With the JIC and PSI systems, you're going to get a fair amount of drone (especially in the JIC system IIRC), but with the design of Betim's system you get almost no drone, a much cleaner sound-as you're hearing a combination of both cylinder banks working in unison- and while i dont have the dyno number i'm fairly certain you'll get more power as his system creates somewhat of a vacuum effect creating even greater airflow. If you havent already, give him a call and talk with him about the advantages of his system. He's one of the few guys i know who has actually done a good amount of R&D perfecting his system. Also while the JIC may weigh less I guarantee you won't notice the 15lb (or so) difference. The sound and performance of BBi's exhaust are more than worth it!

Go BBi. No question. The design of this system is second to none. The designer and welder (Betim) of this system is ridiculous. Talk to him about the things he used to do for Porsche Motorsport (exhaust, traction control systems, stand alones, etc) and i guarantee you'll be convinced.

My BBi system weights 23lbs. Race version/no cats.

I think the results speak for them self. This was my milltek vs bbi.
Whoa! 23lbs is incredibly light. Now there is absolutely no question. And those results are ridiculous!
Like I said, I like the look and sound but $5650 with cats is a little more than I was
expecting as I have had an offer on 2 other systems at quite a bit less than that.
And I still need a set of those new GT2 seats.

SPI all the way. The BBi exhaust sounds awesome, but $5650 is outrageous, regardless of how much fabwork that is done. It's an exhaust system, are you paying for the fact someone can weld, because if you wanted max power you'd just go straight pipe
