I am considering a 996TT as a DD. I often roadtrip (anywhere from 3 hrs to 15 hours). How comfortable are the stock seats in the early ones?

they are fairly comfortable. i've done a few driver's events where i've been in the car for 6+ hours.

 

I thought you meant how long have you sat in it when the weather was too bad to go driving

I've done 12 hours in the same seats you have pictured. I found it reasonably comfortable but then I had just bought my car and was driving it home.

 

I've got 6-7 hours or so in the seats you have pictured. I would do it again and maybe longer.

 

So you made a local pick-up?

 

How tall are you. See im 6' 4" and the car start to hurt the back around the 4 hour. But you can Travel 4 hours in which the same trip would take 8.

 

I'm 6'1" 180lbs, the longest I've in my sport seats is 16 hours in one day. I'm surprises how comfortable they are and not hurting my back.

 

6'2" about 200...I think I would drive my car anywhere, regardless of time...

 

i'm 6', 185 and i've driven it >8hrs a few times and was fine...(stock sport seats)

 

I didn't think they were so comfortable on an 8 hour ride... but the car was fun to drive!

 

I never had a Turbo, but I drove my 1999 C2 with sport seats on a few 6-10 hour road trip and they were very comfortable. The standard seats aren't as comfortable in my opinion, but alright. My 996 was way more comfortable than my Audi A4 on long drives.

 

I don't find the seats comfortable at all on long trips. Maybe some of you guys have your own padding?

 

~ 10 hours, but I'm hardcore, did it in race seats.
