The turbo's top speed at redline in first gear is 39 mph. I believe the turbo has a 3:86-1 and the GT2 has a 3:50-1. To do 48 mph in first gear in a turbo @ 6700 rpm's would require a 3:16-1 first gear. About the same as a CGT which I believe is 3:18-1.

Yea well, then you're changing the equation. I'm sure not all GT2 have to weigh in at 3100 lbs too

Yes, not all turbo need to be AWD either. But we're digressing.

Has anyone tried to change the turbo's final ratio?

Presently, to my knowledge, there is not another R&P gear available for the turbo.

The GT2 weighs in at more than 3100 pounds. AWD without throttle body shutdown is an unfair advantage. The GT2 cannot compete unless the course is made up of slow and very tight turns.

I just weighed one a couple of days ago... I forgot what it weight but I think it was 3240? I could be wrong but that's what I _think_ it was...

Mine is about that weight now... but going on further.. well it could be tough.

What speed does a normal TT-tip redline at?

What is yours? 93?

I think I should offer the Akkurat/Sharkster 300 pound weight savings "updgrade". No joke, the car really does handle, brake and accelerate all the better for it. It still feels like a pig but at least it's a slightly less chubby pig...

Collin if I do that for free to your car can you pull some strings and buy me one?

What year though? For example a 2001 TT is actualy 50 pounds lighter (at least) than a 2002 or 200x... The newer dash itself is resonsible (new one has a glove box and other ****) for most of that. Then there's cars that come with that sub woofer etc... So all in all the 2001 platform is lighter. Now the 2002 GT2, I believe came without a glove box but after that? Hmm..

I believe the tip has a 3:50-1 first gear...... but it doesn't have a sixth.
