giac stage 2 compared to stock gt2
giac stage 2 compared to stock gt2
quick question
i was in my friends gt2 and almost had a heart attack
got back into my car and felt like i was driving a honda civic
if i were to add a giac stage 2 chip, how would that compare to a stock gt2?
thanks

A 996TT even with level 2 from any company will never feel the same as a GT2 due to the RWD, K24's and light weight. Those are things a 996TT just does not have and they make a difference in feel.

for people who have driven both, how would a turbo with a giac stage 2 chip compare to a stock gt2?

I have Upsolute on my tiptronic tt(which should be similar to GIAC stage 2) and in terms of acceleration, it should be similar, if not faster than a stock GT2. I know the GT2 has a different feel due to the lighter weight, RWD, etc, but if you are concerned about just acceleration and power, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with a chip upgrade. A chip upgrade will make your car feel much faster at ALL rpm ranges. Good luck!
My Turbo with Upsolute and exhaust was able to pull on a stock GT2. It was a while ago, but I believe we were somewhat even in 3rd gear, and pulled away in 4th gear. Damn impressive for stock if you ask me.
yeah, but then upgrade the GT2, and what do you have? Also, you can lose a little weight by getting rid of the boat anchor wheels, muffler and seats, about another 100#s and the steering/acceleration/braking get even better. (I've driven my car the last couple of days, so I'm dealing with the residual high)
