Alex. Are you going to summarize the list of "stuff" that you yanked out? Is the dash still in there or are the gauges in a cardboard? Did you yank the heater and aircond out too?

I will.. I promise... The trouble is that I'm worried people will think I'm crazy. Well more crazy than just plain simple crazy. I swear every 2 pounds here and 3 pounds there really does add up tho

I'll do it at the end of the process so I can weigh each thing seperatly...

You'd probably wouldn't want to do that. Rather, you'd want to regear the last 4 gears of the 6 speed.

On a slightly modified turbo, first and second are already rather short.

My Imagine Auto Stage2 Hammer pulls pretty freaking hard... as much if not a bit more than a GT2. I would go for it!

Besides, I didn't say anything about "taking". Fun is a subjective matter. A lighter car is always more fun to me. I have more fun in a Boxster than a TT. Fun can't be measured by numbers.
I have to agree with you about "lighter", that is why we have tried to get KA down to 3100 pounds. The trouble for me is the line between race and street. I guess I still like a little street in my car. Subjective I know.

This is one reason why I can't wait for Kevin to finish his project. He will have a motor without nitrous that will probably slightly edge KA out power wise. With nitrous KA should have a 200 plus hp edge. Weight wise Kevin should have approx. 300 pounds less weight and KA will have a more exotic suspension along with a wider track, wheels and tires. When these two cars get together it will really be interesting. Two wild cars, each taking a different approach. Who really cares who wins what, it will be fun.

Chad, that's where I'm at too... Getting the car down to 3200 was the plan for me *I have an extra 80 with that tip over you. I'd like to go lower but then I'm crossing certain lines and not really a street car anymore

The GT2 is a track ready car from the factory, it does not need any mods to go hit the track any day and be a contender.

The TT needs substantial engine mods, complete suspension redux, and brake upgrades (for serious track use) to be a good contender.

If you mod them both to the extreme, the TT would be faster in a straight line, b/c of AWD launch and the ablity to control 700+ hp. A GT2 with more than 600 flywheel HP is an accident waiting to happen to everyone except the most experienced drivers ( and even then the power is pretty much useless for traction reasons).

Would a TT with an ECU beat a GT2... no. Would a TT with ECU, exhaust, headers, and turbo upgrade beat a GT2... yes and no. Straight line, the TT would win, but on a track it I think it would be close.

Tell that to any GT2 that has met Killer Angel. I am not just talking straight line acceleration either.

Thanks for the info chad... I get over half my knowlege on these cars from you and your thread...

If GT2's are under-rated by the factory, does that apply to the X-50 option on the turbo's as well?

Chad, why do you always make such pedantic statements?

Have you met any GT2 owner that has put $300,000 in to his car? THAT IS THE REAL QUESTION.

How will you feel if or when KA gets beaten by such a car?
