Question 996TT-S Short Ram Intakes?

What kind of short ram intakes are available on the 996TT-S? I'm looking for an intake that doesn't require any extra maintanence and won't have any issues. I've heard that the EVOMS ones wreck MAFs.

I have that intake on my car. No issues what so ever, except minor fitment tweaks. No MAF problems. If you decide to buy, make sure they know whether you have aftermarket hoses or not. There is a difference in their mold for the snorkel. Price is very reasonable compared to similar unit from SpeedTech or SpeedArt I believe.

Hi Split,

I noticed your reference to SpeedTech above and just wanted to note that SpeedTech does not make or offer a cold air intake kit. We have an upgraded Y-Pipe (68mm or 75mm opening) with optional enlarged 2 1/2" silicon hose from the intercoolers to the Y-Pipe. It is designed for cars with larger turbos that produce more air flow or cars that have the 75mm throttle body upgrade.

The CF dual dual snorkel intake you see in our pictures is actually a Vivid intake box, it just so happens we use one in conjunction with our Y-Pipe kit.

That vivid box is one I'm seriously considering! I like the fact that it retains the oem maf orientation, etc.... And it also looks super trick. (BTW John, got the exhaust...looks freaking awesome...bummer I'm still waiting on more info from the body shop...they had to purchase special jigs to check the frame, last word is there may be more damage than they initially thought!)

I'm sorry to hear that development. It will be a bummer if they discover frame damage.

Exclamation

^ I really like Agency-Power stuff, since its usually more reasonably priced and the quality seems superb.
