I think they look outstanding. Just wonder if they'll get hit in about 18 months the way the GT2 or TT did. But the open top suits the TT bodywork, I think....
Anyone know how many they are making and for how long?

Even if Porsche North America came out and gave exact details about production figures... and they raised their right hand and swore an oath... you couldn't believe it.
It appears that Porsche is good at ummmm.... errrrr.... how shall I say this nicely?
"Changing their minds"
When it comes to production quantities.. unfortunately, when they do, they tend to leave loyal owners in somewhat of a bind most of the time... loosing money hand over fist.
If you like it; buy it... but not for the investment. You are almost guaranteed to loose if you buy it for any other reason other than you are in love with it.

probably a good idea to lease. if they crank up the printing presses, just hand back the keys at the lease end and let the finance company eat it. if porsche stays honest (for a change), sell the car at lease end and pocket the difference between residual and market.

no way eric, i think the tt cab is a fanstastic car - as is the GT2. i just happen to think fantasticness won't impede the usual high 996 depreciation any more than it did on the GT2. if i wasn't able to supercharge my 996 cab (in the shop getting the biz right now), i'd planned to buy a tt cab instead and put another $30 to $50k into making it more of a sports car (ie: drop 350+ lbs of pork, add 200 hp/lb, coilovers, etc). i think it's a great car!
