Has anyone had problems with PSM/ABS lights with Hitachi MAF?

I've been getting a CEL with code p1109 lately...

And recently i've been getting abs/psm lights randomly while driving. Anyone with a Hitachi setup have this problem before?

Can boost leaks cause abs/psm?

I've checked my brake lights, and they work fine.

Hey Thomas,

I have not had one single code issue with the Hitachi MAF, I can most likely say that for Mike and Howie in Alberta, no issues at all! That does not help you of course but at least you know from us guy's in the great white north.

Let us know when you find out.

I have never had any CEL's or lights with the Hitachi. Good luck and keep us posted.

That might be a really bad move Thomas as you might end up sending your car there for some of these new EVOMS GT30's. The numbers are pretty darn good on pump. Ask Todd

I have the same exact problem with the Hitachi setup...my right speed sensor. When I turn the streering wheel to the left the asb/psm light illuminate.Fixing the issue today..Good luck!!

I don't mind posting my numbers for you Ben. I made 645 awhp on 94 with my milltek exhaust.

To be honest, i would love to see what your car makes with the gt30's, and when it hits peak torque.

Thomas, I am not making that much more on 94. 666 and 660 HP/TQ. It really is about the curve that is usable on the street. Dyno and street are totally different. Todd could have given me peaky numbers that would have been much more but that was not the point here.

Found a boost leak..... It's going to be quite hard to fix.

It's on my turbo inlet duct...

Do you have the EVO hard pipe kit? I can't imagine that ever failing.

Probably your MAF. I don’t know why but some how it can set off the psm/abs when it goes. If it wasn’t for that code I would say brake light switch, which can stick and cause issues independently of the brake lights. You could try putting in a new switch, its cheap and an easy diy, so even if it doesn’t fix it oh well.
