catastrophic engine carnage...
Loren at 911 Design in Montclair Cali has disassembled my engine. Not much is still usable. Loren says, he's not see a street engine more torn up than this one. He says, it looks like a track engine that went BOOM! There is too many pics to post here, so I started an photo album here under: Catastrophic engine carnage Enjoy the pics...

The word is over boost! It was soooo... weird! I installed my K24/18g's, my 5 FPR, & Greddy ProFec B kit from Titan. I was on my test drive as I backed out of the garage and the EBC wasn't working, so I shut the power off to it. I did a total of 5 pulls, each one being more intense than the other. The fifth pull was from an idle roll. The car pulled VERY hard until it shifted (tiptronic) and the the motor just shut off and the dash lit up and said "no oil pressure." I coasted to the side of the road and called a roll back wrecker.
In hind sight I no Idea what amount of boost I was running because I was too busy watching the road when it went BOOM! Have you ever had a gut feeling... and didn't act on it only too find your gut was right as you delt with the carnage... well this was one of those times! I had a bad feeling about the EBC and if it didn't directly cause this... it did indirectly by removing the safety of the factory boost solenoid. I know that statement will cause a debate... but I will NEVER again use an EBC on anything I own! And I will encourage others to do the same! My car has 1 bar waste gates on the K24/18g's and I tend to concur with Dan at Vivid who has repeatedly said you don't need an EBC with them!
