Any *good* SIMULATIONS of 996tt driving?
Hi. I want the best driving simulation computer setup. Does
anyone have recommendations? I've seen some 3-screen
semi wrap-around wide view angle setups that would be
cool to own. I've heard of programs that are good enough
to simulate the dynamics of different cars like ours...
thanks,
Joe

but yea that is a good game. GT4 is meant to have some fandangled handeling thing but on "prolouge" which i have the handeling to me seems crap. time will tell.
i dunno if u guys get it over there but a game on pc called "Racedriver" i think? is a really good game. its made by Codemasters who are one of the best when it comes to driving simulations. their rally game "colin mcrae rally" has been on top for years. but if u can gt a hold of "race driver?" id suggest to try it out and see what u think.

I just downloaded and played the press release demo I found on the net for GTR. Pretty tight for just being a demo. Lets you test out a Morgan or the Lister on Spa. Gave my FF Wingman Wheel a fit....actually feels pretty close to actually driving. I did not think that a pc game could simulate gforce like that.

I think I read somewhere that there will be an xbox version....not positive though.
I have played driving games on console and pc....consoles can not hold a candle to pc when it comes to racing "sims". Now there are some really great console driving games, but at this time they cant compete with the realism offered in pc games. Not sure if you have tried pc driving sims with a wheel and pedal setup that also has force feedback, but these can make all the difference.....it is impossible to get everything there is to offer in a pc racing sim just using the keyboard or control pad.
If you try GTR with a FF Wheel you cannot drive with one hand....pretty cool the feed back you get from the wheel...I am very impressed. I used to feel the same way you do until I actually upgraded to a very powerfull pc and started using a FFWheel/pedal set.
