I'd like to get an updated Nav disc for my '04 (factory Nav unit). The disc is made by Navteq, but it appears that Navteq no longer makes discs for Porsche because Porsche is not on their manufactuerer list. http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...hedWelcomePage.

I just got updated discs from Sunset, but also offered from suncoast

 

I got mine from Suncoast. Not cheap but it have more detail then the old ones.

 

Thanks guys. Will the Suncoast unit fit my '04? The note at the bottom is confusing.

"Special Note: The new navigation CD(s) can only be used with software version "3.0" in PCM 2.0. - The software must be updated to version 3.0 to operate, this update must only be performed by an authorized Porsche dealer. That's what I upgraded to. It came with the PCM upgrade disk too, but I didn't need it.

 

Just make sure when you update the software your car is running or your battery is very very strong. You make a mistake here and the radio will become a brick. It took mine about 10 min to finish installing the updates. So it is a good idea to have the car running. The instruction tell you this but most people "guys" dont read all the packing material.
