Time to add some power......Beta Test New EPL Turbo Solution
So I've had my turbo since the end of last summer and its time to give it some more power. My performance mods are currently stock K16's, Cargraphics exhaust, DVs, Aquamist water/meth injection, and an EPL custom tune. The car currently makes ~440-450awhp on EPL's mustang dyno. I also have an Audi S4 which i've spent the last few years modding quite a bit and it currently has RS6 turbos installed and makes about the same amount of power as my 996TT....so I figure its time to increase that gap
I spent quite a bit of time talking with Tony about different options and decided to beta test one of EPL's new turbo solutions....a new Tial GT 3071 set up. From the compressor maps i've seen, these will flow more the K24/18gs and the custom housings allow these turbos to mate right up to the stock manifold and exhaust flanges.
This will be a multi step process and initially the goal will be to make more power then the car makes now. Then with the fueling kit added the goal will be the same power at less boost then k24/18g setups. From there we will see how hard I decide to push the car.
I'm very excited to see how these turbos spool compared to k24/18g's and how much power they can make at less boost compared to other set ups.
The turbos have been ordered and the car should start getting taken apart next week!!
I'll keep you guys updated on the progress....

Sounds like a very interesting project. Even more so since these turbos will bolt up to existing exhaust manifolds. With no need to fabricate custom piping this will keep the "kit" cost down substantially. I'm curious to see the results and even more so since you have the Meth injection. I'm positive Tony will make sure the tuning is spot on before it leaves his shop too!
Good Luck!
On a side note... how many people here are running meth injection? I was/am thinking of doing it on my TT after seeing how much gains I was able to get on my S4 w/meth.

Sounds like an incredible build. Can't wait to see how the results end up. This thing is going to be a monster. Then we're going to have to do some highway rolls to convince me that I need the same setup...

So does the wg vent back to the area around the turbine wheel? I guess that would explain the divider wall around the turbine wheel.
I am very interested to see your results!
Where canI find more info/pricing on these upgrades?
