high mile turbo???

i am interested in purchasing an 996 turbo with 55k miles on it.... is there anything i should look out for specifically? known problems at higher miles? i am aware of some of the typical turbo problems ie 2nd gear popout, rear spoiler freezing, mafs going, and possible boost leaks... but is there anything else i should lookout for particular? thanks in advance

Lol...I was expecting "high miles" to be something like 90K+...

I would say 50K miles, is pretty normal man...

Have the car checked as you would with any mileage car, but I don't think at 55k, you should be concerned with anything specific that would cause the car to break down or anything.

haha.... sorry for the confusion... 55k i guess is what is high to me...used to have lower mileage cars....so i just labeled it as that...but it seems as if no one has any real points for me to lookout for and pinpoint besides the ones i mentioned already.....

I would definitely check the service history on it and make sure that it was taken care of, but I am sure that you plan to/have already done that.

Someone on here has a 996TT that is over 200K mi on the stock powertrain.... My jaw hit the floor when I saw that. Several others have 50K mi on 600+ hp power kits. The tt rocks.

CarreraMark is infamous around these parts
I am just hitting 50K on my 02. no major issues, runs great. I would just take a look at what work has been completed (routine and otherwise). M
