A head job is always needed when heading to hard paths Thomas will post some new pix this week coming up. Getting close gents.

For those of you who are going through the costs of porting and polishing, adding larger valves etc., don't fail to give some attention to the two cylinders that tend to heat up more than the others due to water passage restriction. A little work here will enable sufficient coolant to prevent heat build up and the resultant pre ignition problems.

I didn't pick this picture out for the head studs. I liked the shot because it shows the webs or crank supports. Notice they come stock with square edges. In the following pics it shows the webs rounded or "bow tailed." The purpose is eliminate windage allowing the motor to respond faster.

Chad, after reading half way through your thread and I almost creamed in my pants excuse my French. The whole work on one side and the lifts and head flows on the other. Pistons look amazing as well as the rods, WOW Intense work and a huge research, congrats to you my friend. I think you know more than the whole Porsche motorsports in Germany
