I'm sure they are both very close to the same in most regards. I'd recommend e-mailing both shops requesting the parts list along with what you want to accomplish with the build. Otherwise you're just going to get a lot of people recommending you what they have already purchased. lol

I have looked alittle and it seems like the epl gt28 is built by Tial and the vivid isnt. I dont know how that impacts performance, just wondering

Also didnt know if the 24/18g that everyone seems to like is an equal or not? I know alot is preference but dont want to be dissappointed with my choice.

I personally would do the biggest turbo I could fit (35), but not everyone is as gung-ho as me! lol

(Honestly you can't go wrong with the 28's or the 18's)

I know from looking at some searching everyone wants to know what power level you want to achieve and I would be content at the level these turbo can produce

If you compare the flow dynamics and or the size of the two turbos in question you will see there is some differences... I think you should search out these answers instead of asking for subjective instead of objective data? If you asked me, I like the 24/20.

That's what everyone says, until they have that power. Then it's not enough, and let me let you in on a little secrect. It's never enough!!! That's why I said 35's. lol

EDIT: Correct Rob, like I said in my first post everyone in here loves what they have. I doubt anyone in here has had both kits anyway lol.

I guess I should say that I am looking for the occasional drag race and not looking for a 60-130 car that seems to be popular as I have nowhere to make that kind of run. I wouldnt know what I am looking at as far as graphs go, my ignorance.

That's why you should talk to the two tuners you mentioned and let their experience guide you.

I know its probably a broken record about turbo selection. I do need to follow up with them, but obviously they will both like their own stuff. I appreciate your input on a rehashed topic. Dont mean to be pest

The Tial gt28s, 3071s and 3076s that EPL sells bolt right up to factory manifolds...I believe the gt's vivid sells you need to buy manifolds with it (or they come in the kit).

I'm biased b/c I have the Tial 3071s from EPL....I chose this option for two reasons...(1) these turbos bolt right up to stock hardware and (2) they come with EPL tuning...

Did the 3071's require alot of extra equipment? Thats what I am trying to decide. I know he has the gt28 or the 3071/76 and didnt know if the later is streetable compared to the gt28

Way better to ask then to spend money on something you are ultimately not happy with.

We have had GREAT success with the EPL tuned tial 3076's on the SWDR-XXX car. But that setup may not be for you and that's why I said what I said. Contact both shops and let them inform you of the differences, after all who would know better than the people who put them together.
