Increase in boost

My X50 just started boosting at up to 1.3 bar... no S/W changes. It runs great until the boost hits 1.3 and then it backs off.

Any ideas?

You are definitely hitting throttle shutdown. Get it checked before you need a new engine.

Turned out the 2 inch rubber hose between the Y pipe and the boost control solenoid was broken. I just had the alternator changed and the Y pipe was removed a couple of times. Must have weakened the hose by taking it on and off.

Fortunately, a cheap fix this time...
