NISSAN Runs a 7:27.5 in 2010 GTR at the Ring
have you paid attention to the GTR threads here in the past? Families and countries have been destroyed with just a mention of GTR.
I mean look what Hitler did:

you see how bad it will get

See, on the GTR forum things would have been much more serious. That's why this thread belongs here.

..a 99 gtr34 with over 50k miles still go for around 55-65k around here..
...and are you seriously one of those ppl that buy a car based on what its value will be in the comming years??
ricer troll (RT): yo beeachis why u hatin on my dream ride
HC: it's not hate, just simple physics
RT: simple physics is 13 miles in 7:27 beeaj
HC: physics will tell you that a 4000 lbs car wearing street rubber no larger than 275 cannot possibly do this. You see if you draw a vector from the COM(Center Of Mass) of the GTR to the virtual center of the turning circle around each bend you can determine the G-forces a car that weight would generate, from this I have calculated that the friction required from the tires to hold the car in line is beyond that of any tire currently available on this planet.
RT: whaa? look yo, I don't know nothing about COMS and friction, but yo it did 7:27, yah that's right 7:27 beeach
HC: look it is not possible, you are not logical in your thinking and you are not stating your point well.
RT: look yo, u gotts problems pops.
RT2: waazupp, GTR rulz.
HC: How so? how does it rule? what science do you base your facts on?
RT2: waazup pops, u got ur panties in a bunch
P-Fan: The GTR is ugly and Fat. I agree with HC.
HC: you agree with me? you don't even know anything
P-fan: daim dude what a way to throw someone on your side under the bus bro.
RT: GTR smoked it bad, and it wuz physics
HC: what do you know about physics? that an apple falls down?
CJV: guys lets not get excited here or infractions to all of you.
GTRowner: why so much hatred of our cars
P-fan2: not hatred bro, just disgust, always throwing the GTR in our face in our forum.
GTRowner: but it is one of you Porsche guys that always brings the subject up in your own forum.
P-fan: dang, he's right.
HC: that's all irrelevant, if you measure the roofline of the GTR, and devide it by it's clearence you will see that it is not possible for that car to generate such G-forces.
Newbie: Is this the GTR forum?
CJV: guys I am locking this thread, no informational purpose is had by this discussion.
(just joking so don't take it personal, anyone)

According to Nissan, a stock 2010 GT-R with optional wheels and sticky
tires and former F1 Driver Suzuka, they ran a 7:27.54.
New car has 5 more HP, remapped transmission and better wheels and
tires than previous 2009 model
Ferry must be spinning in his grave...

you say that now, but wait a bit, it starts nice and then it goes bad. I will go ahead and paraphrase the next 20 pages and end it here.

Where else can you avoid work (like me) and have it be this entertaining?
no matter how fast the GT-R goes it will still always be a nissan and not a porsche. I don't have anything against nissan I think what they have done with the GT-R is great but it will still never be as good as a porsche even if it is as fast
The press were also in attendance during the previous tests, at least a couple have now changed their minds after testing two stock showroom cars.
I understand the resistance to this GTR puffery on a 996TT/GT2 forum. On the other hand, assuming the info is true, and there's no reason not to, it's a very impressive time for Nissan's boat with the fat bottom lip. Since in the "racer/tuner" world the comparatively bargain basement priced GTR is touted as a "better" alternative to Stuttgart, then I think a thread on this news is OK for us porschephiles to ***** about one way or the other. It's just my opinion, but when a 100K Japanese car (I'm adding in the 20K dealer mark up) runs the ring the same or better than, for example, a 200K+ 997 GT2, that's something I would like to know about.
There is every reason to doubt the time. Nissan has been shady in the past and there is no reason to believe that they haven't been sending in ringers this time around. Several independent tests haven't gotten close to the 7:29 time and now the less than stellar ex F1 pilot has managed to drop it even more to 7:27?

, 2 years from now it'll probably be worth a lot less if it still runs
