6:11 in a moded porsche with stefan bellof smile.......
i dont know what the secret of a gtr nissan is? i have had a zx 300 twinturbo moded 1993....
problems with transmission, problems with brakes, and no good service and knowledge at the nissan dealers.... and after 3 Years nobody like to buy a nissan......
On the gtr you cant see a great secret on downforce or other things.....the time is made with special tyres and good ring experience....but it is respectfull for a car looks like a fiat turbo....
It is a marketing strategie.......for everyone never like to buy a porsche
If i like to drive a nissan i would buy it ......but i didn`t change it for my e30 bmw`s....

Second, the 7:29 time has been put to the test by magazines and even Porsche. None of them came close to 7:29. Sport Auto ended up with 7:50, about the same as the 997 turbo. Mind you, that is still fast since the GT-R is overweight, but far from 7:29.
The other times were also around 7:50.

well as much as I don't believe what Nissan says, I don't think a porsche rep driving a GTR would have the GTR's best time as his main interest. In other words I would not believe the porsche rep either.

Before you quote SportAuto, look at it closely. It was already 4 seconds ahead of the 997TT tested in their Supertest, and...

This means they they are test driving it around the ring to describe more what the car feels like and their impressions of the car. Not to set a fast lap time. The important result will come when they do their Supertest."

Did you fail to see that I mentioned the Sport Auto time? Along with the fact that all attempts had a best time around 7:50...

And I repeat: all test ended at around 7:50.
