looks like you are right, but I am not going to back down from my opinion of tiptronic. I am not going to let a small group of 6speeders make me admit that I am wrong b/c I feel the way I do. If anyone on here was to put themselves in my shoes, backed into a corner with everyone attacking your opinion, you might feel defensive too. Maybe I reacted somewhat immature, and lost my temper and poise... there is no more point to argue. I guess I have become a notorious, E-celeb!
can i get your authrgaph then matt? lol j/k

Matt...with all due respect, I think you have missed the point of the last few posts. No one here is trying to get you to admit you are wrong about Tiptronic or anything else...just cut the personal attacks and frequent profane language. As I posted...you are better than that.

Dan Aspesi, owner of SpeedGallery... one of the coolest guys I have ever met. He can take apart a Porsche motor and put the whole thing back together in no time. the guy is a genius.

matt - meridian
daniel - meridian
dan - speed gallery
virgil - speed gallery
alan - speed gallery
entire garage staff - speed gallery
sam - new industry

all of whom are stand up guys just going on to do different things.

as for Dan and his shop, it speaks for itself, he is a stand up guy who really doesn't care what people do to their cars as long as it supports his love for racing and family. he is always honest and caters to indivdual needs, as some are blingers, some are tuners, some are cheap and some are just stuck somewhere in between. what i truely like about him is that he tries to educate the buyer for what they are trying to accomplish instead of just selling goods that he makes the highest margins on. oh and the best is, he never talks **** about any product, tuner or racer.

My heartiest congratulations!

I'm actually planning on doing something similar down here in LA, as I'm winding down/retiring from the law practice.

Thank you very much Jack! I'm really enjoying it and having been a long-time customer I've learned a lot from both ends

Winding down from law Darn where am I going to go for my 150mph+ speeding tickets now lol...

Seriously good luck in that new field too! I'm sure you're going to be great at it.

You noticed it too... it got a good laugh out of me too, but I am staying silent on this one.

But here's my $.02.
On this board, how many potential customers do you think a BMW sales person would have? 10? 20?

All it would take is courteous, knowledgeable posting and I would guess he could have a shot at several new deals. But I would bet now he's ruining his rep and even people not on this board won't go to him now just from word of mouth.

Wow... that is sad.
I never said it's killing your income, but it's definitely not helping it.
The opportunity cost is something you'll never know, but it's possilbe that you ruined a chance to get a lot of additional business.

Oh well...
