Thanks to Ruf and Ruf tech Christian Treiber

Last week Ruf sent Mr. Christian Treiber to Seattle to handle some small issues...how's that for amazing customer service

Christian was extremely knowledgeable and helpful...as well as a thoroughly nice guy. Local Porsche shop 'Squire's Autowerks' was also extremely helpful in that they opened up a shop bay & lift and whatever tools Christian needed (Squire even handled some test driving duties when I could not be there so Christian could monitor his PC as they drove).

Overall, a few tweaks and while I have not had the chance to get the car onto the dyno...my butt-dyno says we gained the better part of 50 HP throughout much of the RPM range. The car will now consistently hold 1.2 bar (1.1 before) as well as build boost much more quickly.

So...in summary...thanks to Ruf and Christian and Squire Tomassi for their help.

Here's a pic of the Ruf maestro...

ditto kudos to christian. after he left you in seattle he visited me in new jersey to diagnose/fix a nagging problem i've been encountering with cylinder misfire. he found the problem and had my beast fixed within 3 hours.

The level of customer service at ruf is unparalled by any comparison. They have a customer for life in me!

you wouldn’t believe it bill; a very slight leakage in the driver side lower boost hose. It was small enough to go undetected by the “check engine” light but large enough to create the misfire problem on cylinder number 3. After christian pressure tested it, it was easily detected. He then needed to change spark plug 3. car now working perfectly. I think I’m going to invest in the silicone boost hose kit from akkurat. This is the second time I’ve had similar problem.

Moral of this story though is the service commitment of ruf……to show my appreciation I just might get that nardo upgrage afterall…..

p.s...mega props to my local dealer; princeton porsche for creating hospitable environment for christian to do his thing!
