The covers are beige fiberglass from Techart, purchased from CEC Wheels, and my dealer's Porsche service had them painted with the matching factory black paint, then affixed them to the headlamp clear covers. They also painted black the headlamp washer nozzle heads.

Thanks Al - I just called CEC - they should be getting these in their next shipment. I kind of like this better than the thought of throwing my light assemblies in the oven and breaking the seal If the covers are glued on, it should be reversible, no?

Do the covers have any visible seam or crevice or do the wrap around the light?

thanks!

Yes, the covers are glued, so theoretically removable, and I agree, advantageous since the assembly stays sealed.

They are fairly flush to the clear lens cover and with the factory paint, it looks like an OEM option.

Not theoretically, definitely. The covers are attached with double sided tape or silicone glue only. The part that will need to be replaced for reversal is the washer covers as they are no longer chrome but body colour. I ended up doing exactly that ie: removing the Techart covers.

I thought I'd hate them, but I kind of dig 'em. Nice work.
