anyone running the maxspeed smoked 3rd brake light

curious to hear some reviews from some 6speeders that are using this part. Also, is this the same smoked signal that is sold on ebay? Thanks.

I have 2 of the clear ones. They are awesome. depending on your luck, you will have to change the polarity on the plug. My spoiler one was fine but the main one had to be changed.

I just recieved one of these and it isn't working. I assume i am one of the ones that has to change the plug. Should I just cut the wires and switch them or is there an easier way to do it? I couldn't see a way to pull the plug apart and switch them internally, but I am no electrician!

Well, i just got around to trying to install my 'smoked' (but i think it is clear) brake light that i got from another source. Can someone take a look at these pictures and let me know what they think. I had to take a piece from my old brake light since the one on the new one didn't step back and wouldn't allow me to install it:

Then, I can't get it to fit into the location with the metal bracket behind it. There isn't enough room and the lower edge of the brake light sticks out about 1/8" and you have to bend the brake light to get the lock to fight on the right side. It looks terrible. To add to this, the brake light is not wide enough and there is a small gap of about 1/16" on either side of the gasket!!! I'm hoping I got a 996 brake light or something, but it doesn't seem that way. Let me know what you think.
