MAF Sensor?

Anyone have a spare, or one they are willing to part with?

Have had an odd ongoing issue for quite some time, as my MAF seems to be blown or something electronically messed up as it doesn't save my drive cycles, meaning I cannot get an inspection because my car never reads "ready"..

My car drives perfectly fine, then Jon at RUF said to check the codes and a MAF running hot code came up or something weird, anyone ever heard of this?! I have never had a CEL or any lights come on the car since I bought it over 2 years ago!

Nope?? I don't think this has to do with cleaning though, there is something malfunctioning electronically!

What filter are you running? Which codes are you getting? A dirty MAF will give you all bunch of codes.

mine was dirty (oil filter) saw no codes but i did replace about $10,000.00 woth of stuff before i found it. cleaned it and it still great.

i replaced plugs (upgrade) reflashed, new air box, went to giac flash way better than what i had and has a race gas file. did a bunch of other stuff and finally checked out 6 speed and all was solved for $4.00 what a deal!!!

Steve:

You live out near Loren (RennTech)...he has the PIWIS or a PST2....go onto RennTech and PM him, then take the car to him and have him run it on the PST2.....BTW, what did you get fixed for $4? I didn't think it was possible to fix a Porsche for $4....that Guiness record book material.

I have had blown MAF's before from my previous turbo, cleaned it and know all about them..

This particular situation is odd, as my car isn't in limp mode, never throws a CEL just doesn't store the drive cycle data to become "ready"... The code though when plugging the tool into the OBD says MAF overheating or something very odd.. So i'll just get a new one, RUF utilizes stock airbox for their builds, and never had a problem in 2+ years!
