FVD Brombacher Terms and Conditions must be signed before an order accepted....

Just placed and order for some camber plates from FVD that are on special, and I was told because these exceed a couple hundred dollars that I have to sign a several page terms and conditions declarations and fax them back before an order can be processed.

What is up with this? Anyone?

It's just two camber plates.....

I had to sign the same kind of documents to place my steering wheel order with them.

Might have something to do with customs. Expect a bill from the treasury department for any car part imports you receive. I got hit for my exhaust and steering wheel, both from Belgium.

So looking over the terms, and I'm not a lawyer, but this is my take...

1) The parts they sell are described by them as race parts, so there is no warranty.

2) If you get the part at any discounted price, then it is considered non-returnable (for any reason?)

3) Didn't like the imdenification clauses for 3rd parties.

3) If there is a problem, and you don't like it, the rules of the courts of Germany apply.

I'm about ready to just buy the Tarret, Mode, or any other. Just thought it was a good price, but I'm just uncomfortable signing this for a couple of strut bearings.

just buy from FVD US. Rhonda and staff are super friendly and know customer service. They replaced my steering wheel no questions asked, no deposit (until I returned the original wheel) after 14 months.

The paint had some tiny bubbles that burst. The new wheel has been perfect.

I also have FVD spec PSS9s and I love them.

I give them total thumbs up!

I have opened an account with Rhonda at FVD recently. She seems to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I would go with them, but the pricing seems very high compared to some others out there. I will be getting the steering wheel from them in the near future. Still trying to decide if the "fvd custom" pss-9s are worth over a grand more than the H&R coilovers. I have heard great things about the fvd parts, but never heard of this waiver.... if I had to sign that, I would probably walk away from the purchase. Are you ordering from FVD in europe or fvd in the US?

How much are Pss9s compared to H&R?

I think I only paid $1800 fro my Pss9s 3.5 years ago. Of course the Euro has doubled since then. People don't seem to like the H&R so much. I test drove a car equipped with H&R when buying my car and it felt so stiff.

Pss9s are real magic. Smooth ride (much smoother than stock) and they really help handling. I suggest adding an H&R rear bar only to dial out some under-steer. Getting my rear bar installed as we speak to go with the 700HP upgrade. I'm so excited!

Thank you for the detailed comparison. There is a $700 price discrepancy - I cant post the "wholesale" pricing. I can tell you that it is significant price increase ($500+) over what you paid 3.5 years ago. Is the H&r adjustable (in terms of making it less stiff)? Maybe your drove the car on full stiffness setting?

I will definitely look into the rear bar! Thanks again for the feedback. + 1 rep for you.

Oh I thought Rhonda had excellent customer service. I just don't understand T&C's for parts offered on the US site.
