I have sourced a short, hi-flow, 10 micron fuel filter designed for high pressure, fuel injected applications. I have also sourced the fitting to connect the new short fuel filter to the second "044" in-line fuel pump.

Now all that remains is sourcing a piece to connect the short fuel filter to the fitting that the OEM fuel filter connects to...this is probably the part Don had trouble finding.

Does anyone know what the fitting or thread size is on the top of the OEM fuel filter (the end that faces the rear of the car - you see it when you look in the engine bay)?

If I can determine this spec, then my source can tell me if they have a fitting for the final connection...

Hey John,

Sorry for my late response. We have everything you need to do this with out welding anything to the fuel rail.

Let me know what you need!

Tony,

I need a fitting that goes from -6 AN on the new fuel filter to the OEM fuel filter fitting (the fitting that would normally screw to the OEM fuel filter).

That is unless the OEM fitting is for -6 AN. Can anyone confirm?
