hwy80 chp trap
hwy80 chp trap
if your going to north shore on hwy 50 many chp with a car carrier between rocklin and auburn i counted 6 one all white unit and the rest b&ws today 5/23/09 about 9:15am must be an air deal whatch for the small unit with black wingtips (it's in the air not on the freeway)
I got nailed towing a trailer around there. Citation: 1. going over the 55mph limit for trucks towing trailers. 2. You can't tow in the fast lane. I didn't know the last one. They have a spotter plane that clocks you. When they saw my rig in the fast lane they zeroed in on me and they were waiting for me a few miles up.
chp in no calif
hi guys....that is amazing...they would actually take ur car there !!!

drive 80 every weekend for stroke exercise on my left foot, use a ka band radar works well as they have theirs on gives me at least a mile warning front and rear, but they still have the air thing going,in the old days i had a friend in the air but he retired sooooo i keep the sunroof open and look for black wing tips
chp on radio
well, the other option is to listen to their mobile extender freq, which i have in my radio programmed...it's 154.xxx mhz...i can get it for you if u r interested....
it's an old analog comm freq. for all officer's walkie talkie....there's a low power repeater that transmits to their walkie talkies when they are out of their car of motorcycle...
we used to be able to monitor that freq. and if it's active, i.e. squelch breaks, u were guaranteed a chp within 2-3 mile range.....
course, if their radio is not active, you can fly by them and it wouldn't help you...
combining that with radar and also updating your escort radars with lately posted speed traps is probably the best way....
wander if CB radio still helps in terms of speed traps... ?!? kinda 70s but hey, may be the truck drivers still use it.. ?!?
